Unions from several Ubisoft studios in Barcelona have voiced opposition to the company's management, as reported by GamesIndustry. They have filed a lawsuit against Ubisoft due to the partial rollback of remote work: starting in September, all employees are required to spend at least three days a week in the office.

The plaintiffs want Ubisoft to revoke the requirement and agree to a collective bargaining agreement ensuring the right to remote work. They are being aided in court by the Confederación General del Trabajo, a major Spanish union.
In a comment to GamesIndustry, Ubisoft employees stated that they had filed the lawsuit on October 14, but the company’s management has not yet responded. They also claim they are open to peaceful negotiations.
To recall, Ubisoft's decision on mandatory in-office work led to a large-scale strike in France. According to media reports, more than 700 people participated in the strike.
The current lawsuit is the third against Ubisoft reported since the beginning of October. Previously, the company was sued for alleged violations of player privacy and the shutdown of The Crew.
