The development studio behind one of this year's biggest failures—the game Concord—will soon cease to exist. Its owner, Sony, has decided to shut it down.

Journalist Jason Schreier from Bloomberg was the first to report this on social media.
This was later officially confirmed by Sony itself. They also announced that they have no intention of attempting to relaunch the title in any form (it was previously speculated that the game might be re-released under a free-to-play model).
Sony also noted that they are closing the mobile game development studio Neon Koi, which was based in Germany and Finland. The team was previously known as Savage Game Studios and was working on a now-canceled mobile game.
Head of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Hermen Hulst, emphasized that the company needs to act more strategically in its efforts to expand the PlayStation brand beyond single-player games. "I am a big advocate for creative experiments and developing new IPs," Hulst stated. "However, growth through sustainable financial performance, especially in challenging economic conditions, is crucial for the business."
