The decline in the mobile gaming market is coming to an end, forecasts the analytical company Sensor Tower. According to their estimates, this year gamers worldwide will spend $78 billion on in-app purchases (IAP) in mobile games — 1.6% more than in 2023.

Analysts also predict that in 2026, IAP revenue in the market will exceed $90 billion for the first time, and by 2028, it will surpass $100 billion.

The largest regions in terms of IAP revenue will remain the United States, China, Japan, and South Korea. According to Sensor Tower's forecast, in 2028, US residents will spend $33.5 billion on IAP in mobile games, while Chinese residents will spend around $20 billion just in the App Store.
