Savvy Games Group, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund (PIF), has announced a new deal. She has agreed to buy the mobile publisher Scopely for $4.9 billion.
The Saudi company expects that this purchase will allow it to strengthen in the global market. Scopely, in turn, will receive additional financial support.
Scopely was founded in 2011 in the USA. Her main hits are MARVEL Strike Force, Star Trek Fleet Command, YAHTZEE With Buddies and Stumble Guys. According to the AppMagic service, over the past year, Scopely has earned an average of about $40 million per month.
Earlier, the Saudi authorities announced that they intend to invest $ 38 billion in the gaming industry. They were going to spend part of this money just to purchase a game publisher.
