There are currently no plans to restrict access to the Steam gaming platform in Russia. This information was reported by Roskomnadzor in a statement to TASS.
Rumors about the potential blocking of Steam have been circulating online for several years. They resurfaced after it was revealed that in October, Roskomnadzor added ten pages from Steam's "Community" section to the unified registry of resources containing information banned for distribution in Russia. The rumors were also fueled by the recent ban of the chat service Discord.
Roskomnadzor informed TASS that previously, the Steam team had removed about 250 pages with illegal information.
