American consulting company Bain & The company conducted a study on the use of generative AI in game development. To do this, she interviewed 25 top managers from gaming companies from around the world.
According to the results of the study, in 5-10 years the share of games created with the help of AI will grow from 5% to more than 50%.
The majority of top managers surveyed replied that AI would speed up game development and improve quality. But only 20% believe that thanks to AI, it will be possible to reduce costs.
60% of top managers surveyed doubt that AI will be able to fully replace real workers.
The main obstacles to the introduction of AI: difficulties with embedding neural networks in engines and other development tools, the need to train neural networks, legal problems and high costs.
