British indie developers surveyed 1,300 colleagues about how much they get. Based on the data obtained, a table was prepared from which you can find out the median salary for almost 50 specialties.
Out of curiosity:
▫️the median annual salary of a novice game designer (junior) is £26,000, and for an experienced professional (senior) it is £44,000;
▫️the lowest level of earnings among all specialists is among QA-cadres, beginners start from £21 thousand, but for “seniors” it is not that much more – —27 thousand;
The salaries of sound specialists, 3D artists and journalists in the UK gaming industry are also lower on average than those of all other specialists in the niche;
the highest salaries for programmers engaged in network and server tasks (online programming): the median salary for “junos” here is £30,000, and for experienced personnel — in the region of £70,000 per year.
