According to Sensor Tower analysts, only four mobile games managed to overcome the $8 billion revenue milestone. These are Honor of Kings, Monster Strike, Clash of Clans, and now PUBG Mobile.
But despite the achievement, PUBG Mobile is not doing as well as before.
In the first quarter, the Battle Royale earned $650 million. This is the lowest quarterly revenue of the game since the fourth quarter of 2020. However, PUBG Mobile still became the second highest-grossing mobile game in the world, second only to Honor of Kings ($741 million). Analysts explain the drop in revenue by a general decline in the revenue of the mobile gaming market.
