British sales of the PS5 have surpassed the milestone of 2 million copies, according to GamesIndustry.biz with a link to the GfK data. It took 98 weeks for the console to do this.
In terms of sales speed, it was second only to the PS4 (75 weeks), PS2 (60 weeks) and Nintendo Wii (57 weeks). Note that the PS5 shares its place with the PS3, which also sold 2 million copies in the UK in 98 weeks.
At the same time, the PS5 overtook the rest of the consoles in terms of revenue in the British market, earning £919 million. For comparison, the revenue of the Nintendo Wii with 2 million copies sold was £358 million.
