A week ago, an insider Lao Dao (老刀舅舅) reported that Blizzard is now choosing between two publishers. Potential candidates included Tencent, ByteDance, Alibaba Group and Perfect World.
Recall that the agreement between Blizzard and NetEase will expire on January 23. The only Blizzard game that will continue to work in China after this date is Diablo Immortal. It is also published by NetEase, but under a different agreement.
