Blizzard Entertainment may soon name a new company that will publish its games in China instead of NetEase. According to Chinese insider and esports player Lao Dao (老刀舅舅), now the developer is choosing between two publishers.

Dao did not specify with whom Blizzard communicates, but the network suggested that Tencent, ByteDance, Alibaba Group or Perfect World could become a potential partner of the company.

The insider added that, contrary to rumors, Blizzard is not trying to restore cooperation with NetEase. Moreover, Blizzard and NetEase allegedly fired most of the employees from their joint venture, which was responsible for the work of World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and other games in China.
