According to rumors, a number of gaming companies have recently decided to close Russian offices or reduce employees. Among them were, for example, Game Insight, Plarium, 101XP and Xsolla. The Russian Forbes published a lot of material in which he told who else was in a similar situation.

▪️MyTona. At the end of February, employees of the Yakut MyTona received a letter informing them that the company was switching to economy mode. The management suspended the payment of bonuses, stopped hiring new people and stopped renting offices. It also asked to say who would like to relocate.

▪️Playgendary. The mobile developer and publisher started laying off employees in February, allegedly due to the failures of some projects. In May, he closed his office in St. Petersburg already because of the “situation in the world.” As a result, 150-200 people were left without work.

▪️Green Grey. The company unilaterally terminated contracts with Infusion Games, NPU Games and Developers Unknown, in which it had previously invested a total of $7.3 million. Green Grey stated that she had run out of money. In a comment for Forbes, the founder of the company indicated that the studios will continue to develop independently, “with the exception of NPU Games, which as a structure will break up into separate projects.”

In total, according to Forbes, 2000-2500 gaming specialists have lost their jobs over the past month.
