The Competition Court of Appeal in the UK has set preliminary deadlines for hearing Microsoft‘s appeal about the blocked deal with Activision Blizzard. It will take place on July 24 and will last 10 working days.

According to The Verge, Microsoft offered to hold a four-day hearing, which would have begun on July 17, but this date did not suit the British regulator. The agency wanted to start the hearing no earlier than autumn, arguing that it needed more time to prepare. Judge Marcus Smith did not support the regulator and did not postpone the proceedings for a long time.

Formally, the date of the hearing can still be changed, but the judge indicated that this is unlikely.
