Microsoft has appealed to the Competition Court of Appeal in the UK. She asked to reconsider the decision of the antimonopoly regulator, which at the end of April blocked the purchase of Activision Blizzard.

Bloomberg noted that it would be difficult for Microsoft to challenge the verdict of the antimonopoly authorities. Since the court checks the legality of the decision-making process by the regulator, and not the facts that guided him. If the court agrees with Microsoft and finds a violation, it will refer the case back to the regulator. However, according to Bloomberg, the regulator has never reversed its decision after studying it in court.

It is assumed that Microsoft’s appeal may take up to nine months to consider.
