The most expensive takeover in the history of the gaming industry has ended. Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard 20 months after the deal was announced.

The purchase cost Microsoft $68.7 billion. This is a very large amount. For comparison: previously, the largest deal in the industry was considered to be the purchase of Zynga by Take-Two Interactive for $12.7 billion.

Microsoft gained control of all Activision Blizzard studios and IP. Now she owns such hits as Call of Duty, Diablo, Warcraft, Overwatch and Candy Crush. The corporation announced that it has already started working on adding Activision Blizzard games to the Game Pass subscription.
