The Microsoft Corporation signed a labor neutrality agreement with the Communications Workers of America (CWA, the American union for communications workers) concerning ZeniMax Media employees. The company has pledged to support unions within its subsidiary.

In 2022, Microsoft signed a similar agreement, but it only applied to Activision Blizzard employees. At that time, Activision Blizzard was not yet part of Microsoft, but the corporation was actively working to close the deal.
ZeniMax Media already has its own union — ZeniMax Workers United. It was organized by testers at the beginning of 2023.
