Ubisoft's management held a Q&A session with employees, as reported by journalist and insider Tom Henderson. During the session, they discussed the changes set to occur within the company as part of a new phase of restructuring.

According to Henderson, the meeting also touched on the possibility of selling newly established "creative hubs"—large divisions responsible for the development of specific games. Ubisoft's CFO Frederik Duguet confirmed that the company might consider parting with certain "creative hubs" in the future if they prove unprofitable, but there's a catch.

Duguet emphasized that selling will not be the management's first action. Ubisoft understands that not all divisions will immediately begin generating profit, so they are making long-term plans for them.

"If, after a few years, a division turns out to be unprofitable or demonstrates results below management's expectations, we will search for the root cause. We will discuss the situation with the general manager and the responsible team and try to determine if there is a way to bring it to the required level of efficiency and profitability," Henderson quoted Duguet as saying.

As a reminder, at the end of January, Ubisoft announced its decision to divide the entire company into five "creative hubs." At that time, they also reported the cancellation of six games, including the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the delay of another seven games, new layoffs, and the desire to reduce their costs by 200 million euros over the next two years.
