It has become known about yet another studio that may cease to exist as a result of the upcoming restructuring of XBOX. As reported by GamesBeat, this is Undead Labs — the team behind the State of Decay series.

State of Decay 3

According to GamesBeat, Undead Labs' management is currently seeking a buyer who would agree to acquire it from Microsoft. If this isn't possible, 110 people will find themselves "out on the street."

Previously, Bloomberg sources reported on the risk of Ninja Theory, Compulsion Games, and Double Fine Productions studios closing down. They are also hoping to buy themselves out from the corporation to survive, but whether they can achieve this remains unclear. It is suggested that the potential wave of closures is driven by the desire of the new head of XBOX, Asha Sharma, to change the gaming division's business strategy and focus on the most successful franchises.

As GamesBeat adds, other teams will also be affected by the XBOX restructuring, including Blizzard Entertainment and Bethesda, which will see layoffs. According to a source from the portal, this will be the largest round of cuts in the division’s history.

Microsoft is expected to announce the changes at XBOX in the coming days.
