Ubisoft Montpellier studio, which has been working on Beyond Good & Evil 2 for almost 15 years, has lost its managing director. Kotaku sources claim that Guillaume Carmona has not appeared at work since the beginning of the year, and recently decided to finally leave the company.
Carmona has worked at Ubisoft for 20 years. He declined to comment to Kotaku on his resignation.
Kotaku also writes that Ubisoft Montpellier is currently undergoing verification. The Montpellier Labor Inspectorate is trying to find out how healthy the situation in the studio is. She is concerned that over the past year dozens of employees have taken long vacations due to burnout and illness, and some of these employees eventually quit.
