The Insider Gaming portal has uncovered the initial sales figures of Star Wars Outlaws. According to their information, by September 30, the game had sold around a million copies worldwide.

Insider Gaming was unable to learn what sales Ubisoft was expecting, but they certainly should have been higher. Last week, the company reported that the launch of Star Wars Outlaws did not meet its expectations.
According to the portal’s sources, the weak sales of Star Wars Outlaws created some concern within the company. Allegedly, it was only after the disappointing launch that Ubisoft's management listened to the Assassin’s Creed Shadows team, who had been asking for more time to refine the title, and agreed to delay its release by three months. It was also then that Ubisoft decided to start releasing games on Steam immediately in the future, as developers had reportedly been advocating for this for years.
Currently, Ubisoft is working on improving Star Wars Outlaws. On November 21, the game will receive its first story expansion titled Wild Card and will become available on Steam.
