As reported by the publication "Kommersant," instead of "Lesta," the third-person action game team led by Albert Zhiltcov will now be overseen by the Russian IT giant "Yandex."
Official details of the collaboration are not yet known. "Yandex" anticipates the game's release next year. Simultaneously, the company plans to create content based on the game: books, comics, films, and other licensed merchandise may emerge from the game's universe.
The newly separated studio from 1C Games Studios, now called "Mgla," is also participating with the project in a competition by the Internet Development Institute (IRI).
One of the experts from the publication stated that the total amount of requested investment might be around 2 billion rubles: 1-1.5 billion for content scaling, and another 500 million for marketing.
