Microsoft Corporation, together with a number of venture capital firms, is negotiating investments in OpenAI, Semafor reports, citing sources. If the deal goes through, the market value of AI developers will be $29 billion.
According to the publication, as a result of these investments, Microsoft’s share in OpenAI will grow to 49%. According to the terms of the deal, OpenAI will have to give 75% of the profits to the corporation until it reimburses the received financing.
Microsoft and OpenAI declined to comment on Semafor information about the deal.
Recall that Microsoft has already invested in OpenAI. In 2019, she invested $1 billion in the company.
