Microsoft threatened Yahoo! Search, DuckDuckGo, Neeva and other search engines should be denied access to Bing search results if they train chatbots based on this data. This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to sources.

Recall that in February Microsoft introduced an improved version of the Bing search engine, which has ChatGPT built in. According to Bloomberg, soon at least two search engines cooperating with Bing began working on their own chatbots. Microsoft didn’t like it. The corporation warned its partners that the use of Bing search results for neural network training violates the terms of the license agreement.

Microsoft confirmed in a comment to Bloomberg that it recently contacted partners who violated the terms of cooperation. However, she did not specify what exactly they did and what punishment they face.
