At the end of last year, several large Russian software developer associations made a request to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. They proposed to permanently leave the income tax rate for accredited IT companies at 0% or return to the 3% rate, but not increase it anymore.

This is reported by Kommersant with reference to government sources.

Recall that the Russian authorities announced a tax maneuver for accredited IT companies in 2020. As part of it, the income tax rate decreased from 20% to 3%. In 2022, organizations were temporarily exempted from income tax — until December 31, 2024. According to Kommersant, now IT companies are afraid that after 2024 the tax rate may rise again to 20%.
