Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has made a good start in UK retail. According to journalist Christopher Dring from GamesIndustry, the Insomniac Games project surpassed almost all games released this year in terms of physical sales in its debut week.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was second only to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, EA Sports FC 24 and Hogwarts Legacy.
Nevertheless, physical sales of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in the UK were 20% lower than at the time of God of War: Ragnarök. In addition, the game started in British retail "significantly worse" than the first Marvel's Spider-Man.
Note that Super Mario Bros. Wonder also performed well. The game took the fifth place in physical sales in the UK among the novelties of 2023, right after Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
