BioWare has fired screenwriter Lukas Kristjanson. He was one of the oldest studio employees who worked on the first Baldur’s Gate.

David Gaider, the former lead screenwriter of BioWare, told about Christianson’s dismissal. The day before, he also drew attention to the fact that during the recent cuts, screenwriter Mary Kirby left the studio after 17 years of work.

“I am absolutely shocked by the news about the next layoffs at BioWare. This is not just a reduction in staff, but also the dismissal of some of the most experienced (and probably the most expensive) employees who deserve more loyalty than the studio has demonstrated,” said Geider.
