10 American gamers decided to challenge the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. They filed their own lawsuit in the federal court of California.
The plaintiffs believe that the purchase of Activision Blizzard will give Microsoft too much power in the gaming market. The corporation will have the opportunity to suppress competitors, reduce the choice for users, raise prices and in other ways damage both the market itself and end consumers.
The gamers’ lawsuit came to court two weeks after the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) came out against Microsoft.
