Sensor Tower and Homa Games looked at how things are going with the so-called arcade idlers (arcade idle). This is a young subgenre of hyper-casual games in which low-poly little men collect resources.
In the first quarter of 2022, the subgenre collected about 28 million downloads – an increase of 294.3% compared to last year and by 2050% compared to the fourth quarter of 2020.

The top five countries where subgenre downloads grew fastest in the first quarter were China (+14,500%), India (+1063%), Vietnam (+410%), Russia (+311%) and Brazil (+216%).
