The antimonopoly regulator of South Korea has published its decision on the sale of Activision Blizzard to Microsoft. He authorized the transaction.

The regulator concluded that the deal would not affect the country’s gaming market. He pointed out that the console versions of Activision Blizzard games, including Call of Duty, are not popular in South Korea. According to his estimates, the share of Call of Duty in the global console market is 6-8%, in Korean — only 0-2%.

Previously, the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard was approved by 37 regulators around the world. The most influential agency among them was the European Commission.
