Sensor Tower analytical company has released a report on the South Korean mobile games market. It covers the period from January to September 2023.

In the first nine months of 2023, gamers from South Korea spent $3.6 billion on mobile games. This is 12% less than last year, but 24% more than in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.

▫️RPG had the most money — $2 billion. Then there are strategies (12%) and sports games (6%).

▫️Gamers spent almost half of the $3.6 billion (42%) on foreign games. 28% of these 42% went to games created by Chinese companies.

Analysts expect that the revenue of the South Korean mobile games market for the whole year will be $4.8 billion.
