The Administrative Council for the Economic Protection of Brazil (CADE) said it approved the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft Corporation without any restrictions.
The Brazilian regulator said that it took into account primarily the interests of gamers, and not specific competitors. In his opinion, even if Activision Blizzard projects become exclusives of the Microsoft ecosystem, it will not seriously harm competition in the console market.
CADE pointed out that Nintendo “does not use Activision Blizzard content to compete,” and Sony has enough other successful games, including exclusives.
