The company miHoYo does not publish financial statements, but the Chinese media recently shared data on its income for 2022. If you believe them, last year the developers Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail overtook a number of large gaming companies in terms of net profit.
The Guangming Daily reported that in 2022, miHoYo’s net profit was ¥16.145 billion ($2.27 billion), and revenue was ¥27.34 billion ($3.84 billion).
For comparison, Activision Blizzard received an annual net profit of $ 1.51 billion, Electronic Arts — $802 million, and Embracer Group — $420 million. However, Activision Blizzard and Electronic Arts surpassed miHoYo in terms of revenue. For them, it amounted to $7.5 billion and $7.4 billion, respectively. Embracer Group slightly lost to miHoYo — $3.54 billion.
