The report of the British regulator found data on the situation in the cloud gaming market in 2021. According to them, that year Microsoft earned less than $50 million on its xCloud service, which is no more than 10% of the revenue of the entire market.
The most monetary cloud service in 2021 was PS Now. Information was cut out of the report about how much its revenue was, but it is known that it was significantly more than that of Microsoft, NVIDIA and Amazon services.
The document also says that Microsoft expected xCloud’s revenue to grow significantly in the future. It was assumed that in 2026 it would amount to $450 million. This would make xCloud the largest cloud service.
