The Helldivers 2 co-op shooter has set a record for peak online play on Steam among Sony games. According to SteamDB, on the debut day, the Steam version of the title attracted 81,840 simultaneous players.

In addition, Helldivers 2 became the fourth most popular game released on Steam in 2024. It significantly surpassed the previously ranked fourth online Tekken 8 (49,977 people) and was second only to such hits as Palworld (2,101,867 people), Ensrouded (160,405 people) and Granblue Fantasy: Relink (114,054). The developers from Arrowhead studio have already apologized to the players and released a patch that should fix the most critical problems.
