Hasbro has released its financial report for 2024. The company shared that royalty revenues from MONOPOLY GO! and Baldur’s Gate 3 exceeded expectations and announced a partnership with Saber Interactive.

Main Highlights from Hasbro's Annual Report:

  • In 2024, Hasbro earned $4.13 billion. Compared to 2023, its revenue fell by 17%;
  • Hasbro's operating profit amounted to $690 million. The previous year, the company's losses exceeded $1.5 billion;
  • The division including Wizards of the Coast and video games was the only one to increase revenue, which rose by 4% to $1.51 billion;
  • Board games accounted for 68.8% of the division's revenue, bringing in $1.03 billion (-3%). Revenue from Hasbro's own video games and licensing to third-party video game developers was $471.7 million (+22%);

  • By the end of the year, royalties from MONOPOLY GO! amounted to $112 million, surpassing forecasts. Previously, Hasbro stated it expected to receive $105 million from Scopely;
  • The exact amount earned from Baldur’s Gate 3 is not disclosed. However, during a conference call, Hasbro CEO Christian Cocks announced that the game has "solid sales" nearly doubling initial forecasts. Notably, in the summer of 2024, Hasbro projected annual royalties from Baldur’s Gate 3 to be $30 million, later raising the forecast to $35 million in October;
  • Hasbro announced a collaboration with Saber Interactive. The developers of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are working on an AAA game based on one of Hasbro's key franchises. The specific franchise has not been disclosed. In addition to Monopoly and Dungeons & Dragons, the company owns franchises like Transformers, Magic: The Gathering, and Power Rangers;
  • The release of the action RPG in a sci-fi setting, EXODUS, by Archetype Entertainment is scheduled for 2026.
