On May 10, Google held a conference for Google I/O 2023 developers, at which, among other things, it presented a big update for the Bard chatbot. We tell you what has changed.

▪️Google has launched public testing of Bard in more than 180 countries — before that, only residents of the United States and Great Britain could test the chatbot. In the near future, the company is going to open access to the chatbot in a number of regions.

▪️Bard has started to support not only English, but also Japanese with Korean. Later, it will work in 40 languages, including Russian.

▪️Bard was taught to write code in 20 programming languages.

The photo recognition function has appeared in the chatbot.

In the coming months, Google plans to integrate into Bard a family of Adobe Firefly neural networks that can generate images. Soon there will also be support for plugins from KAYAK, OpenTable, ZipRecruiter, Instacart, Wolfram and Khan Academy.

In the future, Bard will be able to connect to Google Docs, Google Drive, Gmail and other Google services.
