Manufacturers of tractors and other agricultural machinery actively use Farming Simulator to promote their products. In an interview with The Guardian, the developers from Giants Software said that they are now signing so many contracts with companies that this allows them to cover all the costs of supporting the game.

According to the developers, when the studio started working on Farming Simulator, it had to ask companies for permission to add equipment to the game. Now the manufacturers of the equipment themselves contact Giants Software, and it already decides whether to cooperate or not.

Companies consider promotion using Farming Simulator to be one of the important marketing tools, Giants Software noted. They share drawings with the studio and sometimes announce products simultaneously with its appearance in the simulator. So did, for example, the Finnish Valtra. She introduced the Q tractor series on the day of the release of the update for Farming Simulator, which added tractors to the game.
