Indian gamers will soon be able to download Free Fire again. Garena announced that on September 5 it will release a new version of the game in the country with a number of special changes.

The Battle Royale will return to India under the name Free Fire India. The developers stated that they created all the conditions for a “safe, healthy and exciting gameplay” in it and added unique content. Which one is not specified. Also, the Indian Free Fire will from time to time offer gamers to take a break.

Garena announced that it has entered into a partnership with the Indian company Yotta, a division of Hiranandani. Ta will provide an infrastructure for storing Indian users’ data on local servers.

Recall that the Indian authorities blocked Free Fire in February 2022 for reasons of national security. The developers were accused of transferring user data to China.
