The European Federation of Game Developers (EGDF) has published an appeal in which it expressed support for the sale of Activision Blizzard to Microsoft. She said that the deal will bring more benefits to the gaming industry than harm.
EGDF noted that the deal will increase competition in the console market, as well as in the markets of mobile games, cloud gaming and subscriptions.
Nevertheless, the EGDF acknowledged that before Microsoft did not always comply with the promises given in the framework of transactions. For example, I made games exclusive, although I guaranteed that they would be available on other platforms. Therefore, the developers still asked the European Commission to carefully check the purchase.
