Restructuring in the Embracer Group will lead to the closure of a number of studios, the head of the holding, Lars Wingefors, said at the annual meeting. He did not specify which studios would be affected.

Vingefors did not rule out that in addition, the holding may sell some of its subsidiaries. Earlier, Reuters wrote that Embracer Group is thinking about selling Gearbox Entertainment.

Now Embracer Group is looking for investors who will agree to invest in specific projects. This will help to avoid layoffs in some teams.

Recall that the restructuring in Embracer Group will last until the end of March 2024. As part of it, the holding has already closed Volition Games and Campfire Cabal, as well as conducted layoffs at Gearbox Publishing, Beamdog, Rainbow Studios and Crystal Dynamics.
