Analyst Mat Piscatella from Circana calculated that the Xbox Series is selling 13% worse in the American market than the Xbox One did at the same point in its lifecycle and is "slightly" trailing in sales compared to the Xbox 360.

The total number of consoles Microsoft has sold in the U.S. is not disclosed.

According to the analyst, the situation with Xbox Series sales in the U.S. could still change, for instance, during the winter holidays. He mentioned that the Xbox One had a strong start but poor final sales, whereas the Xbox 360's situation was the opposite.

Piscatella also highlighted that the PlayStation 5 is outselling the PlayStation 4 by 8% in the U.S. He did not provide the number of units sold or make comparisons with other predecessors.
