The best-selling game on Steam for the week of August 13 to August 20 was, as expected, Black Myth: Wukong. It topped the chart for both paid and free titles.

Counter-Strike 2, which had been leading the overall chart for the previous four weeks, dropped to second place. The third spot was once again claimed by PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.
The space 4X strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire II, which was released on August 15, debuted at sixth place in the overall chart. Other new entries in the top 20 included the game about building giant factories, shapez 2 (14th place), and the crime scene cleaning simulator, Crime Scene Cleaner (15th place). Pre-orders for Dragon Age: The Veilguard ranked at 30th place.
