Bank of America predicts strong sales for Apple‘s AR headset. According to his estimates, the device will be bought 1.5 million times in the first year.
Bank analyst Wamsi Mohan told CNBC that Bank of America prepared a forecast before the announcement of Vision Pro. Then the bank expected that Apple would decide to sell the headset for $3000, but the announced price tag of $3499 did not change the bank’s opinion. Also now, Bank of America believes that in the future Apple will release cheaper versions of the headset and attract a wider audience.
Not everyone agrees with Bank of America’s estimates. Investment company Wedbush Securities believes that in the first year Vision Pro will sell only 150 thousand copies. Apple will be able to sell another million copies in the second year if it reduces the price of the headset.
