The Organization for the Development of the Video Game Industry (RVI) decided to posthumously induct Andrey KranK Kuzmin, founder of K-D LAB and KranX Productions studios, into the Hall of Fame dedicated to Russian games.
“Experts and founders of RVI have chosen Andrey Kuzmin as one of the key people who influenced the domestic game development, and this is obviously the right choice. Andrey has made a huge contribution to the development of the creative economy of Kaliningrad and the entire Russian gaming community and is rightfully a legend of the Russian—speaking gaming industry,” said Vasily Ovchinnikov, head of RVI, at the Russian Creative Week festival.
Kuzmin died in an accident last November at the age of 51. He was one of the creators of the action adventure “Vangery” and the first part of the strategy “Perimeter”.
Recall that RVI announced the Hall of Fame in June 2023. According to the organization, it will include both iconic video games and “people without whom the greatest projects would not have taken place.”
