Currently, four ports of AAA games are available on iPhone and iPad — these are Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the Resident Evil 4 remake, Resident Evil Village, and Death Stranding. According to analysts, all of them are selling very poorly.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Formally, all of these games, except Death Stranding, are distributed for free on the App Store. However, to access the full version of the game, Apple device owners need to pay between $15 and $50. Not everyone is willing to do this.

Here’s the state of AAA game ports on iPhone and iPad, according to Appfigures:

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Downloads — 123 thousand, revenue — $138 thousand. Less than 3 thousand people bought the full version of the game;
  • Resident Evil Village. Downloads — 370 thousand, revenue — $92 thousand. 5.7 thousand people bought the full version of the game;
  • Resident Evil 4 remake. Downloads — 357 thousand, revenue — $208 thousand. 7 thousand people bought the full version of the game;
  • Death Stranding. Sales — 10.6 thousand copies, revenue — $212 thousand.

The AppMagic service provides more optimistic estimates. According to its data, 5.7 thousand people bought Assassin’s Creed Mirage on iOS, 15 thousand people bought the Resident Evil 4 remake, 23 thousand bought Death Stranding, and 34 thousand bought Resident Evil Village.
