In the first three quarters of 2022, mobile RPGs earned a total of $15.6 billion, according to the analytical company Sensor Tower. More than any other mobile genre.
The RPG accounted for 27% of the revenue of the entire mobile gaming market in January-September 2022.
Nevertheless, compared to last year, the genre’s revenue fell by 13.4%. This was partly due to the fact that the market is returning to the indicators of the pre-crisis times.
The main regions for RPG were Japan, China and South Korea. They provided 71% of the genre’s revenue.
