China is the largest market for Palworld in terms of the number of game users. This was recently mentioned by John Buckley, the community manager of Pocketpair studio, in an interview with the portal Game Rant.

According to Buckley, the immense success of Palworld in China was a surprise to the studio. He suggested that the title managed to capture the attention of Chinese gamers thanks to a successful combination of game mechanics, including the use of survival elements.

The community manager added that along with China, Japan and the United States are also in the top three markets. Buckley did not specify the number of copies sold in these countries, but some insight was provided by analysts at Niko Partners. According to their estimates, to date, Palworld has been purchased over 5 million times in China alone.

Palworld was released in January 2024 on PC and Xbox, and became available on PlayStation nine months later. Currently, a mobile version of the game is in the works by PUBG Studios, a subsidiary of KRAFTON.

As of the end of February, the global audience of Palworld exceeded 25 million people. It is known that 15 million people purchased the game on Steam, while the rest accessed it through a Game Pass subscription.
