At the end of March, the British regulator changed its attitude to the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. He stopped believing that buying Activision Blizzard would harm competition in the console games market. Sony did not like such conclusions.

In an 11-page letter, Sony listed in detail what mistakes, in its opinion, the regulator made when analyzing the transaction. In particular, she said that the agency “for no good reason” ignored a number of arguments proving that Microsoft can make Call of Duty and other Activision Blizzard games Xbox exclusives.

So far, the British regulator has published only preliminary conclusions. The final decision will be made on April 26.
