The Pokémon Company’s net profit for 2016 amounted to $143 million, an increase of 26 times compared to the previous year.
The Pokémon Company received its main revenue in 2016 from the mobile hit Pokémon GO and the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games released on the Nintendo 3DS handheld console.
The Pokémon Company is a jointly managed venture of three companies-owners of the Pokémon media franchise: Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc.
Nintendo owns 32% of The Pokémon Company and 10% of Creatures Inc.
