Doom Eternal broke the franchise record for sales on the release weekend. The game earned twice as much as Doom (2016) in its first weekend. This is reported by Bethesda — however, without naming the exact revenue or the number of copies sold of the novelty. But it is known that Eternal became the bestseller of the week on Steam.
Note that the peak online Eternal is now 104 thousand Steam players. In Doom 2016, the figure never exceeded 45 thousand.
